Since March of 2006, it has been our great pleasure to be the caretakers of this lovely Victorian home, built by Montgomery County entrepreneur David Rohrer and his wife Ada Victoria. Originally a four room farm house, the wealthy couple gave the place a post-Civil War "extreme makeover" in 1865, creating an enormous private home in the Second Empire style. As styles changed and David's business prospered, the home was completely remodeled in the late 1880's to take its present form, a remarkable example of Asymmetrical Italianate in the Eastlake style.
